Keeping myself busy

In case you haven’t heard, I am currently selling shirts. Here’s a sample (Droz, ‘wag kang hihirit!). Do contact me if you’re interested. ;-)

Other things that keep me pretty busy right now:

* my long overdue line balancing project
* improving the curd process
* watching out for new movies to come
* thinking of things to do
* meebo.com (haha)

The Eye

I feel so sleepy today it’s weird…I don’t know if it’s because of the antibiotics I’m taking right now or is it that I got so tired from all the walking I did yesterday…

Anyway I’m so glad my eyes are feeling a little better now. Just this weekend, it was kinda red and all tired. Gaad, my eyes are so…what’s the word for it? PROBLEMATIC. First of all, I am nearsighted. And I have astigmatism. Now this. My right eye has a sty in the upper lid, in the inner portion), so it’s not really visible. I finally decided to have it removed last Saturday through non-invasive surgery, where my ophthalmologist injected steroid into the sty (I know, pretty gross). He suggested for me to try this procedure first before having it remove through open surgery since that is more risky. Surprisingly, it didn’t really hurt that much. Yung left eye ko naman, according to my doctor, had some sort of “dandruff” or something, so he cleaned it. He prescribed the antibiotics for both my eyes.

*Sigh*

I’m really excited to watch “Prime” this weekend! I absolutely love Meryl Streep! Any movie with her on it has to be good. :-)

Bangag

What a week this was. I woke up feeling slightly terrible since I woke up at around 2 am last night and only got to sleep at 4:30 (Thanks to Brian, for listening to me). It sure feels like I only had three hours of sleep, but assuming the left side of my brain is still functioning well right now, I believe it’s actually six.

Because of that, I was forced to bring the car to make myself feel better. I wasn’t really feeling like my “sacrificial” self today and take the two jeep rides to the office. In all fairness, despite my state right now, I am actually quite productive, finishing several tasks for the day: 1) data build-up for Project SCORE, 2) preparing benchmarking tokens for tomorrow, 3) securing two vehicles also for the trip tomorrow, and 4) archiving ALL the old Production Models.

But sorry Bee, for not being able to do what I promised I will do. I guess things happen for a reason. :-)

On Harry Potter and other stuff...

Oh God…Everyone’s so excited about Harry Potter nowadays…Droz just told me that Kelly called his office and wanted to watch HP4! To which I said, “I don’t watch that eh…” Well, what do I do, pretend I actually follow the series?!? I have the first book, because someone gave it to me as a gift. I read it, but did not enjoy it immensely. :-) And then I saw the first HP when it came out, part-curiosity, part-nakikiuso. Anyway, I think the 1st book is better than the film. Just my opinion...

---More on books…---

I’m reading Stephen King’s “Everything’s Eventual” (what a cool title!) nowadays…It’s a collection of dark short stories. I’m still hovering over the first story, since I’m a pretty slow reader on weekdays. My eyes are usually tired when I get home from the office. I'm almost done with the first story, "Autopsy Room Four", which surprisingly, is pretty funny...Weird actually. Brian warned me not to read "1408" cos he says it might scare me too much. Or maybe I could read it during the day, when there are a lot of people areound me.

So glad it's Friday! Yahoo! Tomorrow I might go to my ophthalmologist to have my eye checked again. Then I'm going to Glorietta to buy eye glasses! So excited! Gaaad, I'm so geeky, with a capital G. :-)

Oh, and I have to meet my IPAQ buyer tomorrow...:-)

So Far

It has been so long since I last wrote here.

Things that have happened in my life so far:

Celebrated my 23rd birthday with my family – I treated my family to lunch at Pho hoa (or was it Pho bac?) at ATC. We ordered a lot, mostly salads and other appetizers. The food was pretty good. It’s actually my second time to eat there, the first was about a year ago. After that, we watched “Flightplan”, which stars Jodie Foster and a bunch of other unknown actors. It was an okay movie, pretty entertaining, a lot like Jodie’s other suspense movie “Panic Room”. :-) Anyway, I am not about to write a whole paragraph about that movie. That requires another blog enty. On the way out of the theater, I saw Raj (yes Jing, it’s Raymund Joson, former Kraft SSE Manager) with his family. He introduced me to his wife, which surprisingly, looks extremely young for him. Haha. Oh well.

Celebrated my 23rd birthday with my bf Brian – He treated me to dinner at Krua Thai, one of my favorite restaurants (and now his, too). It was his first time to eat there, so we ordered a lot – Thai Spring Rolls, Special Fried Rice, Sauteed Mixed Vegetables (?), Squid something, and another meat (forgot if it was pork or beef) --- all for just two persons! We had to take home some of the food because we were so stuffed. And then we just strolled around Ortigas, there was a party going on there at that time for the Oktoberfest so there was a lot of people. As we passed by Megamall, I saw a Pond’s booth and went in. They were selling the Pond’s Age Solution (“Fight the 8 early signs of aging”) at a discounted price. And since, I have this obsession, as my sisters put it, with having wrinkles and stuff, I ended up buying one. It was such a fun night. :-)

Termination of my stint as a “cadet” – It’s weird how time flies so fast…and it certainly feels old working here sometimes…Well, at least I got a raise. Hehe.

All in all, a lot has happened in my life so far. I’m getting old, my 2nd year anniversary with Brian is coming up (any suggestions?), and Christmas is fast approaching.
